Morning Letter

CALLED BY HIS PURPOSE


"Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope."

Good morning, my friend.


Every letter has a beginning.


As I opened 1 Timothy today, I was reminded that Paul's story did not begin with his own plans. It began with God's calling.


Before Paul spoke to others, he first belonged to Christ.


That thought quietly stayed with me.


Before I think about what I should accomplish today, perhaps I should first remember whose I am.


Today's language lesson carries the same gentle reminder.


No matter where we come from or what language we speak, our greatest hope is found in Christ.

Guide my heart today before You guide my work.
