OUR TRUE HOPE
“To Timothy, my true child in the faith:
Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.”
1 Timothy 1:2 (ESV)
Good morning, my friend.
Yesterday, Paul introduced himself.
Today, he turns his heart toward Timothy.
Before giving instructions, before correcting false teaching, and before encouraging Timothy to lead the church, Paul begins with three beautiful gifts.
Grace.
Mercy.
Peace.
Perhaps that is how God welcomes us every morning as well.
Not with a list of everything we must accomplish, but with the reminder that His grace comes first, His mercy meets us where we are, and His peace quietly steadies our hearts.
As I opened today's Language Journal, I noticed that these three gifts can be spoken in many languages, yet they all point to the same Savior.
Different words.
One Gospel.
One faithful God.

REFLECTION
Paul greeted Timothy with three simple words.
Grace.
Mercy.
Peace.
Before Timothy served the church, he first received these gifts from God.
I need that reminder too.
Before I try to accomplish today's work...
before I learn another language...
before I check another task off my list...
I want to remember that God's grace comes first.
French taught me grâce.
Chinese taught me 恩典.
Spanish taught me gracia.
Different languages.
One Savior.
One gracious invitation.
Today, I choose to begin not with pressure, but with grace.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for greeting me today with grace, mercy, and peace.
Before I begin my work, remind me that I already belong to You.
Help me receive Your grace with humility, extend mercy with compassion, and walk through this day with the peace that only Christ can give.
As I continue learning French, Chinese, and Spanish, may every new word become more than knowledge.
May it teach me to love people more deeply, appreciate the beauty of different cultures more sincerely, and reflect Your kindness wherever I go.
Shape not only my vocabulary, but also my character.
May today's lesson remain in my heart long after I have finished reading it.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.

UNTIL TOMORROW
Tomorrow we will continue our journey through 1 Timothy 1:3.
Another passage.
Another language.
Another smile.
And another opportunity to discover God's faithfulness—one morning at a time.
