Can Seven Beads Tell the Story of the Gospel?




Sometimes the most important truths are worth keeping close.

I made this little Gospel bracelet as a simple way to remember the story at the center of my faith.

A blue bead begins with Creation — God created the heavens and the earth.

Black reminds me of sin and the separation it brought.

The cross reminds me that Jesus came.

Red points to His blood shed for us on the cross.

Three black beads remember His death and three days in the tomb.

White celebrates the Resurrection — Jesus rose from the dead.

And gold points toward eternal life with God.

But the beads themselves are not the Gospel.

They are only little reminders.

The Gospel is the good news they point to:

God created us.
Sin separated us from Him.
Jesus Christ came, died for our sins, and rose again.
And through Him, we are offered forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life.

That is why the Gospel matters so much to me.

Christian faith is not simply about trying to become a better person or living by a collection of good rules. At its heart is something God has already done for us through Jesus.

So perhaps this bracelet is less about jewelry and more about remembering.

Something small enough to wear on a wrist,
but pointing to a hope much bigger than ourselves.

Worn. Remembered. Shared.

A small reflection:
If someone asked me today, “What is the Gospel?” could I share it simply, clearly, and with love?
